Car / van / truck book — $258 for 40 one-way trips. (includes vehicle driver)
Which equals a discount of $82 or 24% off of the cash price.

Bike and rider book — $129 for 20 round trips.
Which equals a discount of $31 or 19% off of cash price.
Bike and rider may also use double passenger tickets.
There are no refunds on discount ticket books. Discount ticket books SOLD BY CHAPPY FERRY LLC. have no expiration date. Discount tickets may not be used for trailers.
Discount tickets may not be used for vehicles larger than 22 feet or with more than four tires
Discount tickets may not be used for vehicles that would pay more than the regular cash fare because of size or weight.

You must shut off your engine, put your vehicle in park and set your parking brake.
You must not restart your engine until directed to do so by the captain or deckhand.
Passengers must sit during the crossing and hold on during docking. Do not stand until directed by the captain or deckhand.

Freight is $6 per ton ($3.00 for half ton, $1.50 for quarter ton, etc.)
If you are carrying weight you must have a weight slip
Small trucks may not be loaded beyond the allowed gross vehicle weight as shown on the vehicle’s registration.
Machines carried on a trailer, such as a Bobcat skid steer, must be unloaded from the trailer. They will ride the ferry on their own wheels or treads.
Trucks pulling trailers shall not carry a load. This gives the trailer hitch and tongue clearance above the deck when loading.
Maximum gross weight limit for truck with a single rear axle is 30,000 lbs.
Maximum gross weight limit for truck with a tandem rear axle is 35,000 lbs.
Maximum gross weight limit for Tractor / Trailer is 40,000 lbs.
WITHOUT EXCEPTION, you must have a weight slip for freight, fuel (propane or oil), lumber, dirt, gravel, concrete castings, etc. The Coast Guard insists that we know the weights that we carry. You can be weighed at these places:

Summer Schedule: starts on the Thursday before Memorial Day and continues through the Saturday in mid October when the MV Derby ends.
Winter Schedule: starts on the Sunday after the MV Derby ends and continues through the Wednesday before Memorial Day.
